Batik - texture and repeat patterns
Thursday 11 - Friday 12 June 2009
Roseland Mews Studio, Liskeard, Cornwall, UK
£ 38 plus small materials charge.
Wire stamps are an effective way of waxing designs, shapes or marks for
creating texture or repeat patterns in batik. On the first morning we will
explore possibilities and limitations of using wire for printing wax by making
simple tools, before developing designs for two or more connecting stamps in
the afternoon. The second day will be devoted to making a finished batik or
series of batiks using your stamps.
For those new to batik and those with some experience. Maximum 10 participants - places available
